BitTorrent is an open source peer-to-peer protocol for downloading files on the internet. Open source means the code is available for anyone to modify and redistribute at will. Consequently there are several free BitTorrent programs available to the public, each with differing features.
The idea behind BitTorrent is to allow massive distribution of popular files without penalizing the source by soaring bandwidth costs and possible crashes due to demand that exceeds the capability of the server. In this way, anyone who creates a popular program, music file or other product can make it available to the public regardless of assets, even if the file becomes highly popular.

The future of distribution information it make us we are as people working together sharing information about others. the advance of technology keep us connect with each other even if that person live in anther country we talk to them, such facebook or my space million of people are using online service to become friends to people they never met before. the only good ways for a better future is for us to be able to talk to each other. When it comes to intellectual property the future is still the same because their is no way to put a stop on unless we don't post our idea in the internet and make it difficulty for people to the information that we don't want them to have.
8. Do you think that downloading is stealing someone’s Intellectual Property? Why or why not? Back up with Baase (Analysis)?
yes i thank that downloading someone intellectual property is stealing, because you didn't pay for it and the person who make the work spent lot of money just to achieve his/he work and it will be wrong for you to download their work without their permission or pay for what you have download. It's like i came to your house and i was not welcome to come inside and take one of your TV sell it on ebay for $3.00
9. How do you see issues of copyright and Intellectual property effecting the world 50 years from today? be specific (Synthesis)
I see it still to be a problems because is not going to change it just going to keep getting worst unless we reduce what we want people to see. it it didn't change in the past there is no 100% sure that people would not take others property.

i agree with this chapter because the problems of internet in the public libraries some people use to terminals to look at x-rated picture while others are witting in line to use the computer. children accessed adult sexual materials which cause an issue for the library staff. in conclusions the library should block some of the sites so that young children shouldn't be able to access the site and the government shout take a step into action on the things that are bad for kids in which may harm them beside the government shouldn't allowed pornography into the web site in the first place.(P157-58)

this can of topic is very much relevant in today society a study has shown that people who view pornography has show a low test rate in the schools. the solution for this problems to develop a software filter to block access to an inappropriate materials on the internet. we shouldn't have to put bad things online so we can make money people are even worry about the safety of us when it comes to money, but how long are we going to hurt others and not knowing that we are hurting people across the country. what happen to the freedom of speech or do we really have freedom of speech if so how come we done nothing to stop the dangerous of using internet / technology in youth. also parent should take action on the use of internet at home such allowing kids to use computer only when are dong homework and computer should be at the living room where parents can see what is going on.( P158-60)

the Gift of Fire 1.3->1.4

Name Mberwa Mberwa Class time: 11:00am
KEEP THIS TO 1-3 – PAGES LONG (excluding reference page)

Author: Sara Baase
Date of Publication:
Book: A Gift of Fire
Sections read: 1.3->1.4

1. (Knowledge)Tell three interesting elements of this chapter:
a.
b.
c.
2. (Comprehension) Summarize what is being discussed within this chapter?

We depended so much on technology instated of making decision based on our moral ethics. We use technology to predict a solution for our problems rather than using solving the problems in a moral ways. We don’t realize that technology has negative impact on humans. Millions of people today use online banking not a lot of people go to bank because we are too lazy to drive or walk to the bank. The use of online banking resulting in identity fault.

3. (Application)Name a specific example or NEW solution for this type of problem/similar situation in society or that you have experienced – be specific and explain?

Online banking has eliminated the number of bank tellers it’s dropped from 480,000 to 301,000 as the technology increased number of employment decreased. We have a similar situation in our society today. Millions of people today they don’t have jobs cause by the government and technology. Most of our jobs are transfer to others country where people work for low wages so companies they don’t have to worry about pay the workers health insurance or other benefits.

4. (Analysis)Address ANY that apply. How can you compare one of the situations in this chapter to something that does not relate to computers, technology, or the Internet? Be sure to reference the chapter and your solution. What ideas NEW can you add to the issue that is being presented within the reading? 5. (Synthesis) Address all that apply. Do you agree with what is being said within the article (Why/Why not? Back up with FACTS)? What new conclusions can you draw about this (or other topics) after reading this material?

I agree with this article because technology has become a big issue to the society, and it has a big impact on our everyday lives. As technology increase the more conflicts we face in dally bases for example people are robbed after withdrawing money at the ATMs. A thief steals million of dollars with stolen and counterfeit ATM cards. Thieves who can obtain our account number and other personal information can access our account online. A human teller would notice if the same person mad numerous withdraws.

6. (Evaluation) Address all that apply. Judge whether or not this topic is relevant in today’s society? Evaluate why you are viewing the topic in this manner based on your experiences. What ethical evaluations (see Chap1-1.4 for exp of Ethics) or decisions were made/can be assumed from this chapter? What new ideas will you make after reading this chapter?

This topic is relevant to today society because not lot of people use their mine to think we use technology for everything we do on our dally based. Affter reading this chapter i have come to conclusion that we should put a limitation on the use of technology, so that we can make decisions without depending on the technology. many of us to day we can't do anything without useing technology, technology has taken control of our lives it is time to put the break on and see how technologt affects us.
